People of War is the new documentary from film maker Frederik Füssel and tells the story of volunteers at Ukraine's frontline who rescue residents, deliver food and risk their lives to ease civilian suffering.


Filmed over two years of war, this eye-witness account shows daily life in the most dangerous of places and offers an uplifting account of human kindness and determination. Narrated in English and available for cinema and broadcast in 51 and 70 minute versions with separate M + E and subtitles.

People of War follows 10 Ukrainian volunteers as they strive to bring food, medicine and other humanitarian aid to their war-torn country.


We see former model Kseniya and her husband Serg provide help to hundreds to residences at the frontline. We follow Florist Aleksey as he supports the army in Zaporozhye, while Larissa  flees from the horrors  of Mariupol and returns to hold her daughter once more. Sasha and Genia join the Red Cross and must navigate through bombs and artillery to bring ill patients to hospital and safety. People of War tells a story to courage, hope and triumph.
